Gary John Bishop, 77

Gary John Bishop, 77, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away on Sept. 4, 2018. He is survived by his sister, Gail Tausch; his niece, Christine (David) Hall; nephew, Gregory Tausch; and several grand- and great-grandnieces and nephews. He retired from Southern California Edison in 1997, and then moved to his mountain home in 1998, where he met many lifelong friends. He also left behind many friends that he had before he moved, who enjoyed coming and visiting year after year.

Gary loved backpacking adventures and his weekend sailing getaways, but most of all he was so proud of his patriotism and his service to his country in the Army.

There will be a private ceremony for Gary held at a later date. Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
