METOO: Lest we forget

It’s time for some ground rules in the “MeToo” movement. Men are not the enemy; they are our fathers, husbands, brothers, friends, etc. They deserve every fairness afforded under the law, including the statute of limitations and presumption of innocence.

When a singular, unsubstantiated, 36-year-old accusation can destroy an otherwise exemplary record of decades of public service, no one is safe. Do we want a society where our sons’ careers and reputations could likewise be so easily ruined without evidence?
