Irvin, a 6-foot-2, 170-pound sophomore quarterback, threw a pair of touchdowns to Matt Whitcomb and had another touchdown pass to Lucas Briner of 46 yards to lift the Timberwolves to a 40-27 win over the Lakeland Hawks last Friday at Corbit Field in Rathdrum. “He started playing a little bit, which is great to see,” said Lake City coach Brian Fulp of Irvin, who finished with 232 yards passing. “He played great.”
