It’s been a beautiful, usable place since 1967, and Ponderosa Springs Golf Course is becoming more versatile under new owners Tom and Teresa Capone and son-in-law Tommy Peterson.

The nine-hole. par-3, 12-acre course is in French Gulch on the east central side of Coeur d’Alene. With a scenic pond and special golf features, the course is ideal for all skill levels. A special feature is night golf on Friday with glow-in-the-dark balls and solar lights around the course.

The lodge is being renovated with a full kitchen and will offer food next spring. Catering for special events is from the Capones’ three eateries in Coeur d’Alene, Hayden and Post Falls. Weddings and charity fundraisers are ideal events there. The entire course can be rented and also has baseball and softball batting cages.

The lodge includes a full bar, seating for 156 inside and 60 outside, ping pong and TVs. Hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. A water feature will be added. Phone 208-664-1101. Check www.ponderosaspringsgolf.com.
