| September 11, 2018 1:00 AM

The Kootenai County Democrats will host state and local candidates from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Q’emiln Park in Post Falls.

Tailgate games and chili feed tickets will be available for purchase at the event. Community members can participate in the chili feed by entering their recipes in the contest. Stump speeches will begin around 3 p.m. for all of the candidates in attendance. Tailgate games will be run by the individual campaigns.

“This is a family-friendly event, allowing voters to learn more about their favorite candidates in a fun and casual environment,” said Courtney Beebe, Kootenai County Democratic Central Committee vice president.

Candidates in attendance will be: Kristin Collum, Cristina McNeil, Jill Humble, Luke Mayville, Ruben Miranda, Dan Hanks, Shem Hanks, Cory Jane English, Rebecca Schroeder, Dale Broadsword and Maria Andrews. Paulette Jordan’s campaign will also be on site.

Tickets are $10 per adult or $15 for a family (children under 18) for the chili feed; $5 and $1 tickets also available for games and ice cream.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
