The Sandcreek Lofts serve as a convenient central location to many downtown Sandpoint events.

Construction is finished on the new Sandcreek Lofts, a premium, vacation rental-style complex at the heart of downtown Sandpoint.

Just four homes are left in the 13-unit building located near the Sandpoint Marina. These waterfront homes are steps to 22+ restaurants, a variety of shopping venues, the Panida Theater, the Sandcreek boardwalk, nearby walking trails and bike pathways, Sandpoint’s infamous Dog Beach, and only 13 miles to Schweitzer Mountain Resort.

All homes at Sandcreek face the water and include views of the city, Trestle Creek, Lake Pend Oreille and the surrounding mountains, depending on the unit. You’ll also have the best seats in Sandpoint to celebrate downtown events and enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks.

Launched by Dover Bay Development, the in-town and on-the-water Sandcreek Lofts offer top-of-the-line amenities for both residents and vacationers. In addition to the four units for sale, two more homes will be available for nightly and short-term vacation rentals in as soon as two weeks. Buyers can choose to utilize the home as either a permanent residence or vacation-rental unit.

Sandcreek’s contemporary/marina classic style blends well with the Sandpoint streetscapes. The building includes an elevator for convenience, and the individual homes feature open floor plans, 8-10 foot windows, quartz countertops, and included stainless steel appliances. There’s temperature controls for individual rooms within the home, as well as premium carpeting and hard flooring as standards throughout. Each home comes with a covered parking space, with additional overflow parking nearby.

The Sandcreek building has also been engineered for ideal sound abatement, offering calm, quiet and privacy to those who still want to be close to the action.

Currently available at Sandcreek Lofts: A two-bedroom home, a one bedroom plus office home, and two one-bedroom units. Three homes are available on the third floor, while one is located on the top floor of the four-level building. Prices for the available units range from $349,000 to $399,000. HOA fees are typically $250-400/month, depending on the square footage of the unit.

Moorage at the Sandpoint Marina is available, or buyers can opt to rent a slip at the Marina Village at the Dover Bay Waterfront Community, which is located three miles from Sandcreek Lofts and downtown Sandpoint. Dover Bay’s Marina Village also includes amenities like recreation rentals, an outdoor heated swimming pool and spa, fitness center, full service restaurant and more.

The Dover Bay Waterfront Community is also home to numerous living opportunities across several neighborhoods, as well as more than nine acres of beaches and dedicated park areas.

The fall season is an especially beautiful time to check out Dover Bay via available bungalow rentals.

“All the leaves are starting to turn — it’s really pretty up here,” said Marie Garvey of Dover Bay Development.

As for another opportunity to check out Dover Bay, consider the Angels Over Sandpoint Fall Frolic, set for 6-10 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Dover Bay Homestead Barn. The event features music by the Miah Kohal Band and food from The Twisted Kilt Black Iron Grill. Tickets are $20, available at the door.
