General election write-in candidate deadlines loom

COEUR d'ALENE — Residents who wish to file as write-in candidates for the Nov. 6 general election have deadlines coming up.

Write-in candidates for taxing districts have until 5 p.m. on Sept. 24 to file their declarations, while write-in candidates for county offices have until 5 p.m. on Oct. 9.

The election will feature races for state and local leadership offices.

Some taxing districts will also have a bond or ballot question on the ballot. These districts include the city of Athol, city of Hayden and the Bayview Water and Sewer District. In addition, two statewide propositions will appear on the ballot for all voters.
