HUNTING: A suggestion

| October 31, 2018 1:00 AM

Thank you, Donald Bishop, for voicing your distress over local hunting trophy photos. I am not a hunter, and I love viewing animals in our surrounding areas. One day I was so excited to see a beautiful elk out in the Cataldo Mission area; the next day, I opened my Coeur d’Alene Press to see a hunting trophy-photo depicting a local hunter with a gleeful smile, kneeling next to the elk he had just killed.

I really don’t want to see these photos of dead animals in my local newspaper. I wonder if you could just mention the person and details about their “trophy” animal so all their friends can see their name in print. Interested readers could be directed to your online site if they want to see that person’s trophy photo.
