Nancy Sue Carter, 81

Nancy Sue Carter, 81, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away on Oct. 26, 2018, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018, at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854.

Nancy was born in Grenada, Miss., to E.H. and Ruby Crawford, on March 1, 1937. She graduated from John Rundle High School in Grenada. She earned her CNA license in Coeur d’Alene and was always a caretaker. After retiring from her nursing career, she went back to work at the Coeur d’Alene Casino for a few years, where she was lovingly called “Grandma.” She resided most recently at Pacifica in Coeur d’Alene and the for the last few months at LaCrosse Health and Rehab. She spent her life making others smile.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hanson and son-in-law, Steve Hanson. Survivors also include three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and many, many friends. She is preceded in death by her infant sister, her parents, her eldest granddaughter and two infant great-grandchildren.

Nancy was a vibrant and energetic person who lived life to the fullest. She counted on her faith in every situation. She will be greatly missed.
