VOTERS: Consider this

| October 30, 2018 1:00 AM

As a state legislator since 2014, I am familiar with Paulette Jordan, a state representative during those same four years. Paulette is a fine lady, but as a legislator representing Idaho and her district, her activity in the legislative process was very limited. There is a reason why not one of the present Democratic legislators endorsed Paulette for governor in the Democratic Primary. The fact that she is a native American woman does not automatically make her qualified to be the governor of 1.6 million Idahoans.

Lieutenant Governor Brad Little, a third generation Idahoan, has been very involved for 12 years presiding over our state Senate; and he has traveled our state from Idaho Falls to Bonners Ferry multiple times. He knows our state!

Because we have had multiple years of strong job growth, our state has received record revenue, which allowed the Legislature to reduce income tax rates while increasing funding for roads and education. Idaho has exceeded most all states in the nation with its low unemployment numbers.

The key to success as a state is for its citizens who are able to work to be employed. Another lifetime Idahoan, former state legislator Russ Fulcher, has the knowledge and experience to best represent Idaho in the U.S. Congress. I would recommend the new-to-Idaho voter review the mission statements and platforms of the Idaho Democratic and Republican parties to better understand why Idahoans have overwhelmingly elected Republicans to represent them.
