SCHROEDER: For District 4

| October 30, 2018 1:00 AM

Rebecca Schroeder is running for the state legislature in District 4. She is a native Idahoan and attended school in Idaho including college along with her husband, Brock. They have a child who was born with cystic fibrosis. Rebecca became involved with the cystic fibrosis foundation. She worked to bring awareness, raise money and met with our legislators on the need for health insurance for people.

Rebecca and Brock through personal experience learned the true cost of healthcare. I first heard Rebecca speak to a group around the first of this year. There was no political campaign at that time, just the heartfelt pain and anger in her voice knowing the need for access to healthcare for all people in Idaho. Her concerns go beyond healthcare to the need for improved education, better paying jobs, public lands and the care of our lakes.

As a native of Idaho she knows our problems have solutions that require a substantial effort to correct. Rebecca wants to find ways to reallocate existing revenue and to seek other revenue sources which don’t require raising taxes.

Rebecca realized that to make the system better she needed to be more involved. The state legislature provides a place to make a difference. Both Rebecca and Brock know the potential hardships and sacrifice public service requires and the impact on their family. She cares for our state, her home, and with the support of her family firmly believes she can make a difference. This is the reason I’ll support Rebecca Schroeder for Idaho State Legislature, District 4.
