APHIDS: Life is short

Don’t hate ‘em, those tiny ash aphids. They are only out there trying to find mates and they don’t have the advantage of online dating or singles bars. When one flies up your nose or mouth think of what the experience must have been for that poor little bug. They only live a short time and you just snuffed out its life!

Rather than complain when you come upon a swarm in the sunlight, take the time to take in the lovely sight (with your mouth closed and breathe shallowly). If one lands on you, really look at it. They are really rather cute. They only last a short time in our area so feel grateful that we don’t have hurricanes and typhoons and massive earthquakes and flooding. We truly do live in a blessed area!
