Betty Gano

November 13, 1935 – October 18, 2018

This is not your boilerplate obituary, because Betty Gano was anything but boilerplate. Born in Wheatland, Wyo., on Nov. 13, 1935, to parents, Byron Fish and Florence Short. Betty was married twice and enjoyed life on the ranch in Platt County, Wyo., for 30 years with her husband, Merrit Gano, raising and training horses. Betty has said, “You can bring me your dogs, you can bring me your horses, but don’t bring me your kids.” She loved kids, but animals were her first love.

Just to give you a few adjectives to describe Betty, she had integrity, she was kind, humble, compassionate, devoted, loyal, a true friend and loved by anyone that knew her. A great treasure and a great loss.

There will be a celebration of her life from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at Sun Aire Mobile Park Recreation Room, 695 W. Wyoming Ave., Hayden, Idaho. For information or directions call Linda at 208-676-8456. Please come to help wish Betty farewell.
