Thai Express to open in Coeur d'Alene

Many people have been eagerly waiting the opening of Thai Express in the northwest corner of Crossroads Center off Ramsey Road

The menu includes appetizers, soups, curry, general Thai pads, rice, stir-fry and noodles as the place opens next week. Its grand opening will be in December. It offers 35 seats, fast-food tables, take-out, delivery through Door-Dash and catering.

Hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Owners are Jordan and Daniel Rhoads. Thai Express has more than 300 locations in North America.

New huge building for Sting Soccer

The large structure under construction at the southwest corner of Prairie Avenue and Huetter Road will be an indoor soccer complex for Sting Youth Soccer.

The 9.5-acre complex also will include four outdoor soccer fields, restrooms and parking.

2nd Act Clothing on Government

Saturday, Oct. 20, was the grand opening of 2nd Act Clothing under new ownership at 5624 Government Way.

Divided into $1, $3 and $5 tables, the store offers a variety of “clean, quality” clothing including winter coats, baby clothes and uniform pants.

Prairie Family Medicine Expanding

Construction began last week on an expansion for Prairie Family Medicine at 1130 W. Prairie Ave.

The remodel and expansion of the second building will support the addition of three psychiatric nurse practitioners with Dr. Janet Gourley, Peter Gourley, NP, and Brent Landkammer, NP.

This includes evaluation and diagnosis of mental health conditions, medication management and psychotherapy for all ages. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Phone 208-209-0288. Check www.prairiefamilymed.com.

- North Idaho Eye Institute will build a third location in Hayden.

- J.A. Bertsch Heating & Cooling will move from Hayden to 3645 Government Way in November. And Paragon Brewing will open its new building at 5785 Government Way at the end of the year.

- Watch for Hu Hut Mongolian Grill in Ironwood Square (between Government Way and Lincoln Way off Ironwood Drive).

- Gathered for Good thrift store opens next week at 2801 Government Way.

- A&B Market plans to open soon at 402 E. Sherman.

- The former Armour Antiques on Sherman will become Anytime Fitness.

- Syringa Sushi will move to the former Bistro on Spruce location on Fourth Street. And a noodle place may come into the old Syringa location.

- Panda Express is under construction at State Line. A new Arby’s may be there too.

- Keller Williams Real Estate is building a new place at 3931 N. Schreiber Way.

- Riverview Towers at 2100 Northwest Blvd. will have new occupants in Evergreen Home Loans and Meine Insurance.

- PayneWest Insurance will move to 703 Lakeside Ave. from Parkside Tower at 601 E. Front.

- Watch for a Jitterz coffee stand at Prairie and Heartland.

- Roger’s Burgers & Ice Cream, already with two places in Coeur d’Alene and one in Post Falls, is building a fourth, this one at 8833 N. Hess St. in Hayden.

- Hibachi Sushi is coming to 221 E. Sherman. We hear a German restaurant will be where Camera Corral left (for Northwest Boulevard) on Sherman.

- A new Fu-Ki Japanese Steakhouse is under construction where the Kynrede Cafe was at 8885 N. Government Way in Hayden.

- Incrediburger & Eggs will build a new place next to Firehouse Subs on Appleway. Idaho Central Credit Union will be across the street.

- A new place downtown in November will be Live For Blu fine art at 505 E. Sherman.

- Staybridge Suites hotel is under construction in Riverstone.

- “The temperature will reach the 60s” is simply plural, not possessive — no apostrophe needed. An apostrophe is needed for “He was born in the ‘60s.”
