HYPOCRISY: See if it fits

| October 21, 2018 1:00 AM

If I wanted to be politically correct, I would join the chorus against everything that has made America a great capitalist country, a free and independent country, and an economic powerhouse. The current rants against “Big Oil” in the lead-up to the mid-term elections is just one of many examples.

Anyone who wants to rag about “Big Oil” should put their money where their mouths are. Do they buy gas for their cars? Do they fly on airplanes? Do they have hundreds of petroleum-based products in their homes?

I live in a nice, one-bedroom apartment, but when I look around, I see plastic everywhere, thanks to our oil industry. Parts on my electric scooter, my TV, holders for my CDs, my eyeglasses, containers for my prescription drugs, food containers, petroleum jelly (Vasoline), knobs on my stove, etc.

Bottom line, I’m not a hypocrite. I thank the oil industry for my standard of living. In November, I’ll vote pro-America, i.e. Republican.
