Cardinals remain fourth

PENDLETON, Ore. — North Idaho College failed to gain ground on Blue Mountain in the East Region standings, falling to the Timberwolves 28-26, 25-16, 18-25, 26-24 in a Northwest Athletic Conference match on Friday night.

NIC (20-12, 7-4 NWAC) trails Blue Mountain (21-7, 8-3) by one game for third in the region. The top four teams advance to the NWAC Championships Nov. 15-18 at the Tacoma Convention Center.

Hailee Etter had 11 kills and 27 digs, Kayla Neumann 12 kills and 16 digs and Sydnee Bybee six kills and nine blocks for NIC. Chloe Knudson had 30 assists and 11 digs, Kynzey Mitzel 18 digs for NIC.

Sydney Neuman had 11 kills for Blue Mountain.

NIC hosts Big Bend at Christianson Gym starting at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
