KUDOS: From happy buyer

| October 19, 2018 1:00 AM

Last month, I bought a Toro snow blower that was on sale at Home Depot. Who couldn’t resist the pre-season price? The sale was completed with the understanding that the salesman would order an ignition key since it did not have one.

Nearly a month later without receiving the key, I went to Home Depot and told customer service what happened. He called manager Nathan Williams to the desk and explained the situation. Williams immediately initiated a search for a key, but to no avail. He then called Toro Corporate and asked to order a key. He gave the model and serial numbers to the representative, and the order was placed.

In all, there were four people involved in this transaction. The cost of their time is not usually considered for customer service, but I estimate that at least $100 of time was allocated to the lost key.

Please consider that “time is money.” Home Depot and Toro certainly provide excellent use of time for customer satisfaction.

Jack Evensizer is a satisfied customer.
