Rotarians from the Sunrise Rotary club, Coeur dAlene Rotary club, and Coeur dAlene Evening Rotary club partnered to improve crosswalk safety near Fernan STEM Academy by providing solar-powered, rectangular, rapid-flashing beacons for the crosswalk at Pennsylvania Avenue and 21st Street. Local club funds were matched by a grant from the Rotary Foundation, said Karen Cook. Rotarians and school officials dedicated the crosswalk on Tuesday.
