Boise State picked to finish fourth in Mountain West men’s hoops preseason poll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Boise State men’s basketball team was picked to finish fourth in the Mountain West men’s basketball preseason poll. The predicted order of finish, along with the Preseason All-Mountain West team, was voted on by media members who cover the league.

Nevada, the defending regular season champions, was picked to repeat. The defending conference tournament champions, San Diego State, was chosen to finish second.

New Mexico was selected third, Boise State fourth. Fresno State fifth and UNLV sixth.

Wyoming was picked seventh, followed by Colorado State, Utah State, Air Force and San Jose State.

Caleb Martin was picked to repeat as Player of the Year, headlining an all-conference team that included three Wolf Pack players, including Jordan Caroline and Cody Martin. Deshon Taylor of Fresno State and Justin James of Wyoming round out the team.

Jordan Brown of Nevada was selected Preseason Freshman of the Year, and Vance Jackson of New Mexico was tabbed Preseason Newcomer of the Year.
