DUNCAN: For county commissioner

| October 12, 2018 1:00 AM

It’s essential that we vote our values, so I’ll be voting for Leslie Duncan for Kootenai County Commissioner. Leslie understands that tax dollars come from the taxpayers and should be budgeted responsibly and county commissioners must avoid raising taxes whenever possible. She’ll make sure our land use laws are fair and protect the rights of property owners while following the U.S. and Idaho Constitutions. She’ll weigh the options, consider possible outcomes and develop the right position.

She has devoted many hours and effort working and volunteering in our community in various positions. Leslie’s experience as a small business owner, volunteer on the Women’s Auxiliary Board for the Union Gospel Mission’s Center for Women and Children and Chairperson of the Aquifer Protection Board, means she understands how our community and local government works and doesn’t work.

I find Leslie Duncan to be honorable, trustworthy and have the skills we need for county commissioner. She respects and values elected officials, county employees and individuals, it shows. She’s approachable, engaged, and genuinely committed to governing well.

Please join me in voting for Leslie Duncan for Kootenai County Commissioner on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
