Expect delays for road work in Coeur d'Alene River Ranger District

| October 11, 2018 1:00 AM

Forest visitors to the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District may encounter delays as road construction projects continue into the fall. Alternate routes may be unpaved, narrow, and present difficulties for vehicles with large trailers.

The Spruce Ridge Road No. 205 and Upper Coeur d’Alene Road No. 306 are expected to have up to three-hour traffic delays, as well as possible night work, for repairs and brushing. The Grizzly Ridge Road No. 260 and Brown Grizzly Road No. 409A from the Stull Saddle area to Riley Saddle Area will have roadside brushing activities. Pothole and asphalt repairs are planned for the Coeur d’Alene Deception Creek Road No. 612 where potholes will be repaired from Fernan Saddle to Windy Ridge Saddle. Signs will be used to assist traffic through the construction area.

Visitors are encouraged to pick up a free Motor Vehicle Use Map available at any of the Ranger Stations or visit the Panhandle Forest Service website for alternate routes.
