Schilling joins Hagadone Marine Group

Hagadone Marine Group announced Tony Schilling has been hired as the new director of sales.

Schilling’s previous experience includes more than 20 years in the RV industry, with 15 of those spent in management and director roles. He is excited to bring his passion for people, along with leisure and recreation activities, to the team at Hagadone Marine Group.

“It’s important that we hire the very best in leadership and skills to serve the Inland Northwest boating community. Tony brings that experience to the table to help manage and excel sales in the region and provide our boating consumers the products and service requested. Sonrisa announces liquor license celebration

Sonrisa Modern Mexican, 519 Sherman Ave., Coeur d’Alene will host a liquor license celebration from Oct. 11 through Oct. 14. The Mexican restaurant opened in April but is now able to serve tequilas, margargitas and other cocktails, beer and wine.

Throughout the celebration, all customers will receive two free tacos of their choice and will have a chance to win a five-day trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

In addition to tacos, Sonrisa also offers modernized takes on burritos, enchiladas, and other Mexican cuisine.

Snyder joins Windermere

Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty announced the addition of sales associate Trevor Snyder to its Coeur d’Alene office.

Snyder grew up in a family of Realtors, graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School, North Idaho College, and Boise State University. After graduating, he worked in sales for four years and found great satisfaction in developing relationships with the people he helped.

Windermere Coeur d’Alene Realty has offices in Coeur d’Alene, Post Falls, Hayden and Liberty Lake. The firm specializes in residential, new construction, commercial real estate, and relocation.

Social Security seminar planned

Pat Wardian, president and CEO of Wardian Wealth Management in Coeur d’Alene, will present a dinner seminar offering ways to maximize Social Security benefits.

Wardian will discuss how recent rule changes may affect benefits, how benefits are calculated, offer simple ways to increase them, and how married couples can maximize their Social Security by coordinating their benefits.

The dinner seminar will take place Tuesday, Oct. 16 and Thursday, Oct. 18 at Barlows in Liberty Lake.

Seminar begins at 6 p.m. A complimentary dinner will be served following the presentation. Tickets to this event are free, however a limited number of seats are available. Reservations must be made in advance by calling 208-664-8980.

Sanchez elected District 1 director of the Idaho City Clerks, Treasurers and Finance Officers Association

Members of the Idaho City Clerks, Treasurers and Finance Officers Association recently elected Hayden City Clerk Abbi Sanchez as a director for District 1 for 2018-2019.

The Idaho City Clerks, Treasurers and Finance Officers Association was formed to increase the professionalism of its members; improve city administration; advance the fullest measure of responsibility in local government; and to cooperate with federal, state and local agencies, the Association of Idaho Cities, Idaho universities, and other organizations to upgrade the efficiency of city government.

The Association of Idaho Cities was formed in 1947 and is a nonpartisan, nonprofit corporation organized to serve Idaho’s 200 incorporated cities. AIC influences policies and provides education, training and technical assistance to strengthen the ability of city elected officials and staff to serve their communities.

Ellis named CUNA Professional of the Year

Numerica Credit Union’s Wendie Ellis, assistant vice president of branch and loan operations, received the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Professional of the Year Award for 2018.

The Professional of the Year Award recognizes the individual who exemplifies excellence in all aspects of operations and member experience. Ellis was presented with the award at the CUNA Operations & Member Experience Council Conference in September.

Ellis has worked in the financial industry for more than 20 years. This award recognized her achievements during that time including her position as president of the Spokane Chapter of the Northwest Credit Union Association, her advancement within the credit union, her team and project management skills, her community involvement, and her passion for the credit union movement.

Numerica Credit Union currently has more than 135,000 members throughout Central and Eastern Washington and North Idaho and $2 billion in assets. Membership is open to anyone who lives or works in the state of Washington or the Idaho Panhandle.
