SANDPOINT — Senior Grace Hicks tallied 14 kills, 17 digs, six blocks and three aces to lead Sandpoint to a 25-13, 25-21, 17-25, 25-20 win over Lewiston on Saturday in nonleague volleyball at Les Rogers Court.

Jazmin Stockton added 11 kills, Shelby Kluver 12 digs and four aces and Lilly Anderson 13 digs for the Bulldogs (16-8), who notched their fifth win of the year over a 5A team, including the season sweep of the Bengals and Vikings.

Bulldog head coach Jeff Hurst is already looking forward to a rematch with Lake City on Monday, after getting rolled by the T-Wolves on Thursday, and hopes his emerging team is ready to step up its game.

“Coming off the Lake City match, now we’re trying to establish our rhythm,” said Hurst, who liked how his team bounced back on Saturday. “Another 5A win, which is fantastic. We’re preparing for districts and the opportunity to play for state.”

Sandpoint is at Lake City on Monday night.
