Cardinals sweep Yakima Valley

YAKIMA, Wash. — Hailee Etter had 12 kills and 11 digs for North Idaho College in a 25-14, 25-19, 25-22 sweep of the Yakima Valley Yaks in a Northwest Athletic Conference East Region match on Friday.

Hannah McPhetridge had 11 kills and three blocks, Kaitlin Hunter 10 kills and two digs and Kayla Neumann eight kills and 17 digs for NIC (18-8, 6-2 NWAC), which plays at Walla Walla on Oct. 13.

Yakima Valley is 9-19, 2-5.

With the win, NIC (17 points) moves three points behind Spokane (20 points) in the East Region for first place. Yakima Valley and Walla Walla trail NIC for second by one point.

NIC (5-3-4, 5-1-2) travels to Treasure Valley today.
