William R. Evans, 76

William R. Evans, 76, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away on Oct. 1, 2018, in Post Falls, Idaho. He was born in Wallace, Idaho, on July 21, 1942, to William P. Evans and Ruth L. (Randall) Evans. He was raised in Spokane, Wash., and went to school at Hamilton Grade School, then graduated from Rogers High School in 1960. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad signal department from 1960 until he retired in 2003.

William was preceded in death by his parents in 2010 and 2012, his daughter, Leslee in 1988 and son, Thadd in 2012. He is survived by wife, Karen, married 55 years; adopted son, Jessi Sanchez; sisters, Barbara and Patricia; sister-in-law, Susan; nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Gerald Buck and his wife, Arlene.

He lived in Spirit Lake, Idaho, since 1979. William loved to fish with his sisters when he wasn’t working. He passed away with Alzheimer’s at the age of 76 and requested that no services be held for him.
