COLUMN: Morality is key

| November 11, 2018 12:00 AM

Steve Cameron asks why voters overwhelmingly passed Proposition 2 but rejected Rebecca Schroeder, who sponsored the bill and worked tirelessly to pass it.

It’s simple Steve. Yes, it’s because she IS a Democrat! That’s not to say that Democrats can’t have good ideas. If Schroeder was a Republican, she would probably have had an easy victory in the primary and coasted through the general election.

It’s because North Idahoans reject the Democratic platform which they consider immoral and, yes, even evil. Democrats have adopted the strategy that began with Jesse Jackson and his “Rainbow Coalition.” Jackson pandered to every conceivable minority, trying to forge a majority by joining them together in an effort to defeat the real majority. It failed of course. Heaven forbid that we elect anyone whose platform includes abortion, gay privileges and more gun control. Kootenai County is predominately Christian. Churches outnumber bars by a huge margin.

The fact is, if you want to get elected in North Idaho, you need to forsake the Democratic Party and its wicked, abhorrent agenda. You need to embrace morality and the Constitution. We’d rather elect a dumb ole Republican any day than a smart Democrat who has such an opposing philosophy.
