Coeur d’Alene Marathon

makes 41st run Sunday

COEUR d’ALENE — Nearly 1,200 had signed up as of Friday afternoon for the 41st Coeur d’Alene Marathon and Half-Marathon, scheduled for Sunday with the start and finish in McEuen Park downtown.

The course runs out to Higgens Point and back, with two laps for marathon runners, one lap for half-marathon runners.

The event starts with the marathon walk at 5:30 a.m., followed by the marathon start at 6:30, the half-marathon start at 7 and the 5K run/walk at 7:30.

Danielle Parks of Coeur d’Alene, the defending women’s marathon champion, is registered this year.
