Grigg helps Northern Lakes win Legion opener

RATHDRUM — Ezra Grigg hit a go-ahead two-run triple to trigger a four-run sixth inning, and the Northern Lakes Mountaineers class “A” team opened their season with a 5-2 victory over the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen “A” on Tuesday night at Gorton Field.

Jack McDonald went 2 for 3 for Northern Lakes, and tripled in the final run of the game. Brandon Gay struck out eight and scattered five hits for the Mountaineers.
