Coeur d'Alene wins state 'B' lacrosse title

EAGLE — Chandler Johnson scored six goals as Coeur d’Alene edged Idaho Falls 13-12 in the championship game of the state Class B high school lacrosse tournament Saturday afternoon at Eagle High.

Isaac Kamara and Hunter Brett scored two goals apiece for Coeur d’Alene, and Kamara had two assists.

Coeur d’Alene beat Ambrose 13-5 in the semifinals on Friday night.

Coeur d’Alene finished 12-3.

It was the second straight year an area school won a state lacrosse title. Lake City won what was called the Division II title last year.

IDAHO FALLS — Goals: Peyton Merwin 3, Daniel Carroll 2, Andrew Finlinson 2, Brennon Peck, Jaycen Biggs, Cameron Peck, Gus Meacham. Assists: Daniel Carroll 2, Jaycen Biggs: Saves: Jake Weller 10 (on 44 shots on goal).
