Linda Mae Logan

Linda Mae Logan was born June 8, 1934 in Mott, N.D. and passed away on May 16, 2018, in Post Falls, Idaho. She was abandoned at five days old, so her maternal grandfather, Jacob Buttman, took her in to raise her. At the age of three, her mother, Dorothy Buttman, married Carl Ruff, and she went to live with them. She spoke only German until she was seven years old.

At 15, she moved to Spokane, Wash. to live with her aunt, Erna Buttman-Sprecher. In 1951, she married James Nelson and had children, Judy, Janice, Jeanette and Jim. In 1962 she married Clyde Englund and had a child, Jeri. In 1989 she married Clyde Aldendorf and he passed away Dec. 25, 1999. She married John Logan Jan. 1, 2001.

Linda worked for many companies, including Condron Family Homes and Farrow Construction for 18 years, and included JCPenney, Rosauers, Washington Water Power Co., USPS, SYSA Bingo, and many restaurants. Through the years, while raising her children, she played an accordion, sewed clothes, decorated cakes, bowled, remodeled her homes, was a lifetime Golden member of the Eagles Auxiliary #2, president of her bunco club for 10 years and a member of the Linda Lunch Club for 10 years. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii and taking cruises.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, John Logan; children, Judy Bell, Janice Schmidt, Jeanette Betton, Jim Nelson and wife, Kristina, and Jeri Allen and husband, Dallas; adopted daughter, Cheryl Anderson; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N. Pines Road, Spokane Valley, Wash.

The funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home with interment at Pines Cemetery. A reception will follow at 2 p.m. at the Community of Christ Church, 11515 E. Broadway Ave., Spokane Valley.
