Brown, Cardinal men, women in lead

BANDON, Ore. — Sophomore Madi Brown shot 2-under on the back nine and leads by three shots following an even-par 74 on Sunday’s first day of a Northwest Athletic Conference tournament hosted by Southwestern Oregon at Bandon Dunes.

McKenna Tinseth and Aly Mabey shot 80 and 81, respectively, and sit in third and fourth places. NIC leads Community College of Spokane by eight strokes.

The women finish today on the Old Macdonald course at Bandon Dunes.

NIC’s men shot 305 on Sunday, and lead Skagit Valley by one stroke. Sophomore Todd Henderson shot 74 and is in second place, one stroke off the lead. Ben Harvey is tied for sixth after shooting 76.

The men finish today at Pacific Dunes.
