Apartments planned on Cd'A Lake Drive

Readers have asked what’s happening with construction starting on the left side of O’Shay’s Irish Pub & Eatery on Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

With an opening possible next March, it will be the five-story Lake Drive Apartments. The place will have 30 residential units on floors two through five and retail-commercial space on the ground floor.

About 75 percent of the units will be two-bedroom, two-bath, and 25 percent will be two-bedroom, one-bath. Penthouse units on the top floor will be larger. All apartments will have covered decks.

Miller-Stauffer Architects of Coeur d’Alene and Yost Gallagher Construction are the mainstays, with Widmyer Corp. as the owner and contact at 208-664-5081.

North Idaho Gun & Pawn opens in Post Falls

Buying and selling new and used firearms and providing loans on firearms, North Idaho Gun & Pawn opens Tuesday at 4013 W. Riverbend Ave. on the west side of Post Falls.

A Class III dealer with gunsmithing and firearm transfers, hours will be 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Renew Aesthetics & Hydration opens

Offering facial aesthetics and “vampire procedures,” Renew Aesthetics & Hydration Bar has opened in Suite 2 at 515 N. Fourth St.

Allegra Print & Imaging buys Commercial Printing

Both the business and building of Commercial Printing at 504 Lakeside were sold by 25-year owners Marshall and Gail Thompson, who have retired.

Allegra Print & Imaging owners Roger Stewart and Bill Ellefoote bought the business portion to add to their Allegra Print & Imaging at 3917 N. Schreiber Way.

- A Thai Express eatery will open near Mod Pizza in Crossroads Center at Appleway and Ramsey.

- Great Harvest is closed near Costco but will open with a new owner.

- Honey Co. restaurant will open in late May where The Cellar was downtown on Sherman. The Honey Eatery will be on the main floor, and the Honey Social Club will be below.

- Ellenbecker Eye Clinic will move this summer from 2140 Riverstone Drive to nearby 2020.

- Hotel news: The Shilo Inn is being remodeled on Appleway and will become a Comfort Suites and Mainstay Suites with 138 rooms, an indoor pool and a meeting room for 50 people. Staybridge Suites hotel is under construction in Riverstone. as “I’ll study this further.”

- Remember that the “...ward” words don’t end in “s.” It’s not “towards” or “backwards.” And it’s “farther to the west...”--not “further,” which is for intensity such as “I’ll study this further.”
