Cards finish regular season with sweep

POST FALLS — Madi Mott homered twice and drove in five runs in the first game for North Idaho College in a sweep of the Yakima Valley College Yaks in Northwest Athletic Conference play on Friday at Post Falls High.

NIC won 13-1 and 11-1, finishing the regular season 45-3, 30-2 in conference play.

Kayla Curtan had three hits and three RBIs in the first game for NIC.

In the nightcap, Mott and Ashlyn Winn had three RBIs each for NIC.

NIC opens the NWAC Championships next Friday at the Dwight Merkel Sports Complex in Spokane.

Yakima Valley finishes 11-34, 8-24.
