Mort Castleton, 75

Mort Castleton, 75, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho passed away on May 6, 2018, in Coeur d’Alene, on his journey to be with the Lord.

Mort was one of the toughest, meanest, orneriest hombres North Idaho has ever seen; this horse riding, beer drinking, trout fishing, good-time having cowboy, who was, first and most, a man of God. He will be missed. They just don’t make them like Mort anymore.

Mort leaves behind his beloved wife, Irene Castleton; his three sons; Ed Castleton, Tim Castleton and Robert Castleton; two grandchildren, Michelle and Rob; four brothers and two sisters; as well as many loved ones. Mort owned Panhandle Roofing for 40 years here in Coeur d’Alene, and raised his family here as well after moving to North Idaho in 1969. He loved Coeur d’Alene; it was truly his home. Mort was born in Streator, Ill. He was a member of Candlelight Church and loved the Lord Jesus. R.I.P., Dad.
