Father, son injured in freeway accident

COEUR d’ALENE — Two men were injured while traveling on Interstate 90 near Wolf Lodge east of Coeur d'Alene on Friday morning.

According to Idaho State Police, William T. Sandow, 70, Cataldo, was westbound at 7:59 a.m. when the driver’s side front tire on his 2001 Toyota Camry came off.

The tire went across the median and struck an eastbound 2017 Ram pickup at the windshield/roof seam.

The roof collapsed, injuring the driver, Danny C Dempewolf, 59, Post Falls, and son, Jacob S. Dempewolf, 35, Coeur d'Alene. Both were transported to Kootenai Health.

All occupants in both vehicles were wearing seat belts.
