NIPAC announces endorsements for GOP primary

The North Idaho Political Action Committee has endorsed the following candidates in the May 15 Republican primary.

Brad Little for governor

Tom Kealey for state treasurer

Jim Woodward for Idaho Senate — District 1

Mike Boeck for Idaho Senate Seat 1A

Fritz Wiedenhoff for Idaho House Seat 2A

Doug Okuniewicz for Idaho House 2B

Paul Amador for Idaho House Seat 4B

Bill Brooks for Kootenai County Commissioner

“NIPAC was formed to support rational, responsible Republican candidates to serve in county and state public office who are committed to fiscal responsibility, limited government and free markets,” said the PAC’s announcment. “NIPAC looks for leaders who demonstrate common sense conservative values, the ability to build consensus and get results. We support leaders who show strength and independence from the extremist ideologues of the party.”

FOP endorses Amador

The Idaho Fraternal Order of Police announced its endorsement of Paul Amador for the Idaho House of Representatives District 4.

“Amador is a true conservative who supports law and order all while supporting citizen’s liberties. As crime continues to increase in Idaho, Paul Amador will support policies that will keep citizens safe, while balancing the liberties of those who live in our great state,” said the group’s announcement.

The Idaho Fraternal Order of Police is the largest law enforcement organization in Idaho representing law enforcement from across the state of Idaho.
