| May 3, 2018 1:00 AM

The Coeur d’Alene Chapter of the Gold Wing Riders Association (GWRRA), along with the Idaho STAR Program and CDA Powersports, are hosting a free event in conjunction with May’s Motorcycle Safety and Awareness Month, on Saturday, May 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Complimentary burgers and hot dogs will be served from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Motorcycles, trikes and accessories like sidecars and camp trailers will be on display. Participants are invited to vote for “people’s choice” awards for their favorite cycle. There will also be raffles and giveaways during the event.

Instructors from the Idaho STAR program will be on hand to give information on classes and offer general motorcycle safety tips.

GWRRA provides safety, technical, and educational services around the world to its members. Chapter H of GWRRA meets locally every third Saturday of the month at 9 a.m., at JB’s restaurant, at 704 W. Appleway Ave.

The motorcycle awareness event will be held at CDA Powersports, a local authorized dealer of Honda, Suzuki, KTM and CF Moto. It is located at 2745 W. Seltice Way, in Post Falls.
