Kyla Currie

Lake City High School

The sophomore shot a 76 to capture girls medalist honors at the Sandpoint Invitational on Monday at the Idaho Club. Ten days earlier, she shot 77 to finish fifth out of 100 girls at the Eleen Northcutt Invitational (formerly Big East tournament). “Kyla has had a great year this year,” Timberwolves girls golf coach Corey Owen said. “Last year as a freshman she did a great job on our varsity team mostly shooting in the 80s and 90s, so to see her shoot in the 70s three of our last four tournaments has been fantastic. She has made this progress by a ton of hard work.”
