Lakeland beats Cd'A Charter in tennis

RATHDRUM — The Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy tennis team traveled to Lakeland Monday for an exhibition meet. The Hawks won 11 matches and lost six in a variety of singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches.

Charter won two out of three mixed doubles matches, with victories from Marie Michalson and Ian Fleming and Lauren Faulkner and Auggie Zepeda, coach Chris Sabatke reported. The Panthers also won both girls singles matches, with wins from Michalson and Hannah Burt.

Lakeland won all five boys doubles matches and three of four boys singles contests. The Hawks’ Brandon Brown won his singles match 8-0, then teamed with Colin Rose for a 8-2 win in doubles.
