Kathy Sims

| March 26, 2018 3:18 PM

Kathy Sims is ready to get to work for the residents of District 3! “I know how to get things done in Boise,” she says, “My proven positions, experience, and seniority make me the most qualified candidate in this race!”

House Assistant Majority Leader, Brent Crane, said of Sims, “Rep. Kathy Sims is a tried and true conservative. When she served, Rep. Sims was an effective, conservative voice in the Idaho House of Representatives.”

Kathy Sims has been a small government conservative throughout her political career.  As a business owner for over 40 years Sims understands how regulation and a burdensome tax system make it difficult for small businesses to succeed. Sims believes there must be a level playing field where the government is not giving one business the advantage over another.

Former Idaho Representative, Gayle Batt, recalls working with Sims in the Legislature. “Kathy Sims experience as a successful businesswoman and her knowledge of our great state, made Kathy a tremendous resource to those of us who served with her in the Idaho House of Representatives. I could always count on her to stand strong on conservative principles and limited government ideals. Kathy Sims is the standard bearer for conservatism and has a record to back it up!”

Sims will work to repeal the grocery tax and wants to return control of our Federal lands back to our state. “Idaho should have access to the rich resources within our borders, which will benefit all Idahoans by increasing revenue while lowering the tax burden on people and businesses,” she states. Sims is pro-life and has a proven record of protecting the unborn.

“Kathy is one of Idaho’s best legislators,” says Wayne Hoffman of the Idaho Freedom Foundation. “She works hard to promote and defend conservative principles, and that’s reflected in her excellent voting record.”

Kathy Sims believes in a strong Second Amendment and was a co-sponsor for the 2014 Campus Carry Bill which passed and was signed into law. “I will always be on the side of an individual’s right to protect themselves, their family, and their property” she states.

Sims has been active in the community with the Rotary Club, where she is a Paul Harris Fellow, and has been a strong supporter of Children’s Village. She was the first woman elected to the National Board of Auto Dealers. She also served as an Idaho Delegate to the 2016 Republican National Convention where she proudly cast her vote for Donald Trump.
