LETTER: Sappy is sweet

Mr. Weir, you write that Idaho is becoming “californicated” because of “sappy” letters authored by members of the community. Fake News? What is the definition of this phrase? Do you have one?

What is the correlation of fewer than 200 deaths from school shootings and more than half a million deaths via auto accidents?

And your astutely stated observation that students fearful of the next school shooting/attack are “ignorant?” Perhaps these and your other statements of cynicism might send you an observation of “self?”

Try stepping outside yourself. Visit and communicate with your total community…especially try an open-minded sharing with these “air-headed” teenagers you spout off about on the Opinion page. Hope you find “a life” better than the one you seem LOST in now!
