Leon L. Davis, 75

Leon Davis, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 18, 2018, after a short but valiant battle with cancer. Leon enjoyed the little things in life, warm sunny days, spending time with his wife and family, friends, riding his Harley with the wind in his face and exploring the cities and towns around him. He enjoyed shooting his guns at his favorite indoor shooting range and pulling the string back on his favorite compound bow and letting the arrows fly. He liked to make things from leather and has a plethora of items to show for his efforts, saddlebags for his motorcycle, holsters for his guns and even a quiver for his many arrows.

Leon is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, his son, his daughter, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Leon’s family would like to thank everyone involved with his treatment and care, especially the Home Hospice nurses that came to visit each week, and finally, the nurses and aides at the Schneidmiller Hospice House who made his last days comfortable and peaceful. THANK YOU!

There will be a celebration of Leon’s life from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho.

Although we love flowers, please consider a donation to the Schneidmiller Hospice House, 2290 W. Prairie Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83815 (www.hospiceofnorthidaho.org).

Yates Funeral Home is entrusted with final arrangements. Please visit Leon’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
