Show us the bunny! Send us your Easter event listings

| March 22, 2018 1:00 AM

Easter is hopping up quickly — it's only 10 days away!

Where is the Easter Bunny hiding eggs in your neighborhood? We're all ears! Send us the details of your egg-cellent community events and egg hunts and we’ll publish them in The Press in the days leading up to Easter.

The first Easter egg hunts of the year are Saturday, March 24 at 10 a.m.

This is the second year for the North Idaho beeping egg hunt, a fun Easter egg hunt with special beeping eggs for children who are blind or visually impaired and their siblings. The beeping egg hunt will be in the Harding Center Gymnasium at 411 N. 15th St. in Coeur d'Alene. Free and open to children of all ages and vision impairments. For information, call Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired senior rehabilitation counselor Jackie Stallings at 208-769-7077 or email jstallings@icbvi.idaho.gov.

"The event is run by local transition-aged youth who are blind," Stallings said. "We have a great time. It is an opportunity for all children to enjoy the joy of Easter."

The Vine Church in Coeur d'Alene will also be hosting Easter for Kids from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Children ages 3-12 are invited to learn about the story of Easter, participate in crafts, songs, learning activities and games and join in an egg hunt.

Easter for Kids will be held at Atlas Elementary School, 3000 W. Honeysuckle Ave. in Hayden. The event is free, but space is limited. Pre-register online at www.TheVineIdaho.org or by calling 208-449-2080. All are welcome.

Email your Easter activities to reporter and Easter Bunny assistant Devin Weeks at dweeks@cdapress.com or call 208-664-8176 x 1111.
