Coeur d'Alene High School principal dies
Coeur d’Alene High School Principal Troy Schueller was found today at his residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a press release.
Schueller was transported to Kootenai Health. He passed away at about 2 p.m.
The school district has activated its Crisis Assistance Team, which will be at Coeur d’Alene High School into this evening and tomorrow. The school faculty was notified during a meeting after school today.
School at CHS is canceled Thursday. However, crisis counselors will be at CHS from 7:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. Thursday to meet with students, family members, staff and the public. Anyone who needs to speak with someone about this tragedy is urged to seek out a member of the crisis team. Please enter the school using the gym entrance on southeast side.
