CASA Ray of Hope luncheon Wednesday at The Cd'A Resort

| March 13, 2018 1:00 AM

Nonprofit, North Idaho CASA invites the community to attend its free, annual Ray of Hope Luncheon Series for March.

Coeur d’Alene’s event will be Wednesday, March 14 at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. Doors open at 11:30.

CASA supports trained advocates for more than 400 child abuse and neglect victims in North Idaho, the most vulnerable chdildren in the community. Advocates investigate child protection cases, represent the child’s best interest in court and help find them a safe, permanent home.

Guest speaker Sara Singer will provide perspective on how advocates help navigate foster families, relatives and guardians through the court process.

“Our Ray of Hope luncheon is a way we can recognize our advocates for all of their hard work throughout the year. CASA is a complicated concept to grasp, so through videos, speakers and hearing firsthand from advocates, it is a way for the community to understand exactly what we do,” said supervisor Anissa Brady.

Advocate of the Year and a Distinguished Service for Victim Advocacy Award will be given during the luncheon. All community members are encouraged to attend.

RSVP to Kristin Ludwig, director of fundraising at North Idaho CASA, 208-667-9165 or kristin@northidahocasa.org.

North Idaho CASA serves the five northern counties and three other lunches are scheduled later in the month throughout the region.
