Ethel Samson, 94, former longtime resident of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, passed away Feb. 13, 2018, in Green River, Wyo., where she has lived for the past four years.

She was born July 25, 1923, in Neptune, Saskatchewan, Canada; the daughter of Henry and Sarah (McColl) Lindborg.

Mom attended school and graduated from Lapwai High School, Lapwai, Idaho. She loved growing up on the Nez Perce Reservation, playing basketball and earning a letter sweater for the Wildcats. Ethel loved working in her yard, going to garage sales, and taking long walks around the neighborhood, even into her late 80s. She enjoyed decorating her house inside and out for the different seasons and was a skilled carpenter, upholsterer and furniture refinisher.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, George “Pom” Hamilton; our dad; sisters, Della Davis and Ruby Seeley; and son-in-law, David Fackenthall.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned. To those whose lives touched hers, and her South Eleventh neighborhood especially, please celebrate her life in your own way. She loved you very much. Love and God bless. Molli, Mike and Kate.
