'Life is a Cabaret,' featuring Jessi Little coming to JACC

| March 9, 2018 12:00 AM

Jessi Little, a 2009 graduate of Coeur d’Alene High School, will return to her old stomping grounds March 18 to perform “Life is a Cabaret” in Post Falls.

Little will perform at 7 p.m. at Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William St. Tickets are $20/general admission and $15/with student ID. For tickets, call 208-391-2867 or www.LauraLittleTheatricals.com.

The cabaret is filled with story-telling songs, both witty and touching, interlaced with entertaining anecdotes, and special guest appearances by Callie Cabe, Hudson Drake and David Eldridge.

To make the show extra special, Jessi’s grandfather Art Brill will be flying in from Virginia so they can sing a duet together. Art, a retired Marine Corps Lt. Col., has been singing with the Alexandria Singers for over 25 years.

Little and her grandfather have only had an opportunity to sing together on two other occasions. The first was when Little was 9 years old in Carlsbad, Calif., and then again at a wedding about 12 years ago. Little is also the daughter of Laura Little, a local and national theater producer.

Jessi Little is currently living in Seattle, but she grew up in Hayden Lake. She received her BFA in theater at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Upon graduating she worked in Dallas/Fort Worth at Circle Theatre, Water Tower Theatre, and Casa Manana. Now back in the Northwest, she has performed with Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre and The Modern Theatre-Spokane. In Seattle, she has performed at STAGEright Theatre, Artswest Playhouse, Taproot Theatre, Seattle Children’ Theatre and The Village Theatre. Two years ago, Little was honored to sing the National Anthem at Fenway Park in Boston.
