DEMOCRATS: We won't switch

Whatever our affiliation, we’re advised in a Press editorial, March 4, to get in line by Friday, March 9, and register as Republican. This is the party, for anyone paying attention, that now has our democracy — or what remains of it — in a stranglehold.

If you appreciate irony, there it is. We who’ve done the work and fought the battles to keep our country functioning and our democracy strong are invited to help finish it off.

Thanks anyway, but I still have hope.
