SCAM: Not my grandson

| March 7, 2018 12:00 AM

I want to advise your readers on another scam. Received a phone call Friday, caller ID just showed a bunch of numbers, so I answered the phone and he said “hello grandpa how are you?” I said “fine, how are you doing?” He said “do you know who this is?” I said “Dillon” (my grandson’s name) and he said “yes.” So I asked him what’s up? Is everyone OK? He said “I am in Kentucky and I got into a car accident, I have no insurance and they took me to jail and I need some money to get out.” I said “can’t your wife help you?” He said “no, she did not come with me on this trip.” Then I told him, “GOT YOU! My grandson is not married.” Then the caller hung up.

Stay alert out there and don”t fall for this scam.
