Mountain West promotes Gonsalves

Mountain West Bank, a division of Glacier Bank serving communities throughout Idaho, Eastern Washington and Northern Utah, has promoted Alison Gonsalves to the position of executive vice president and commercial lending manager.

In this role, Gonsalves will oversee the commercial loan production and loan operations functions of the bank.

“Alison is a wonderful addition to the executive leadership team at the bank,” Mountain West Bank CEO Scott Anderson said. “Her years of experience as a community banker and familiarity with our markets and customers make her a great fit for this role.”

Gonsalves joined Mountain West Bank in 1993 as a personal financial representative. She opened and managed the Hayden branch and then moved into the bank’s commercial lending department, where she was appointed manager of the Coeur d’Alene commercial banking team in 2011.

Gonsalves is a longtime volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul and Hospice of North Idaho. She is a graduate of the University of Washington Pacific Coast Banking School.

Gonsalves can be contacted at 101 Ironwood Drive, Suite 218, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814 or via phone at 208-765-0284.

Baldwin named ‘Best-in-State Wealth Advisor’

Merrill Lynch announced financial advisor Janice Baldwin, of Hayden Lake, has been recognized on the Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” inaugural list, published on Feb. 15. In all, 639 Merrill Lynch advisors are included on this year’s list, the most of any firm.

“We are incredibly proud of Janice Baldwin and her recognition on this list, and believe she consistently demonstrates what it means to be a leader in the wealth management space through strong dedication to a high standard of service for our clients. We look forward to celebrating and supporting her future success,” said Joseph R. Anderson, senior resident director.

The Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors” ranking was developed by SHOOK Research and is based on in-person and telephone due diligence meetings to evaluate each advisor qualitatively, a major component of a ranking algorithm that includes: client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including: assets under management and revenue generated for their firms. Investment performance is not a criterion because client objectives and risk tolerances vary, and advisors rarely have audited performance reports. Rankings are based on the opinions of SHOOK Research, LLC and not representative nor indicative of any one client’s experience, future performance, or investment outcome. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK Research receives compensation in exchange for placement on the ranking.

Baldwin has been a part of Merrill Lynch’s Coeur d’Alene office for 25 years.
